In 2011, he entered the top cinema school INSAS in Bruxelles. The philosophy of this school is to form sound artisan. He learned sound recording, editing and mixing. He also discovered the electronic and concrete music from the XXth century, Schaeffer and Stockhausen experimentations. But he is more impressed by the philosophy of François Bernard Mache, who considers that nature is the origin of music and should be integrated in it. Jeremy mixes his several influences to create original soundtrack and effect, by recording and manipulating sounds himself. He listens to the view of directors, but don’t hesitate to propose sound ideas to support the narration and create inconscious effect.
Jérémy Bocquet’s bold work to this film created a quiet yet threatening, eerie and haunting atmosphere that told the complete story in sound design. It’s good blending of intra-musical elements, including electronic textures, stood out. The work had an excellent use of spacialized and distanced sound that properly presented dynamic choices in a creative and fulfilling way. Expect the unexpected.
